For Immediate Release:
TOPEKA, Kan. (Dec. 8, 2025) – Topeka ER & Hospital, a leader in advanced healthcare in the Topeka community, proudly announces the implementation of the Galleri® test, an innovative laboratory screening that detects more than 50 types of cancer through a single blood draw and invites the public to attend a screening event Dec. 11 at the hospital, located at 6135 Southwest 17th St.
The Galleri® testing technology marks a significant advancement in early cancer detection. With one simple blood sample, the test can identify potential cancer signals, even before symptoms appear.
The community screening event introducing advanced early cancer detection technology will be held Thursday, Dec. 11, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Physicians at Topeka ER & Hospital will write the necessary test orders onsite, and the test will be available to all who qualify. The test is not covered by insurance and will cost $949; it is FSA/HSA eligible.
Patients interested in making an appointment for a screening on December 11, can register online https://go.oncehub.com/topekaerhospital, or by phone 785-670-6760.
“The future of cancer screening is here. We make it easy for anyone who feels they may be at risk to come in and be screened for multiple cancers with a single blood test,” said Dianna Cox, Chief Nursing Officer at Topeka ER & Hospital. “Early detection can be lifesaving.”
The addition of the Galleri® test reinforces the hospital’s ongoing commitment to delivering cutting-edge, compassionate care and ensuring patients have immediate access to diagnostic technologies that improve outcomes and the overall patient experience.
The screening event will serve as the official kickoff for Galleri® testing at Topeka ER & Hospital, giving community members the opportunity to learn about the technology and receive testing onsite. After the event, the multi-cancer early detection blood test will be available 24/7, providing patients with immediate access to advanced screening and timely care.
